2008 FASTRAK Late Model Rule Clarification

In response to the question of body specs and the center lower door measurement, Mercer Raceway Park and the FASTRAK Northeast Touring Series will enforce the 82” rule.

This will be door skin to door skin and does include the plastic lower door skirt. Most late model manufacturers’ bodies exceed this rule. Door bottoms may need to be adjusted. Shortened spring steel or aluminum braces will correct this problem. The ear or the doors may still be flared out for tire clearance as needed.

Any cars found to be wider than 82” will be given one week to make the necessary changes and will be permitted to race the first week without disqualification; the Touring Series will be the next scheduled event.

If you have any questions, please contact Tech Inspector, Randy Myers, at 814-432-2461 (days) or 814-432-5175 (nights).
