August 6, 2007 - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Pulaski, PA)…Due to Sunday’s rain out of the Hillbilly qualifier at Tyler County Speedway, track officials have canceled the FASTRAK Northeast Late Model Touring event scheduled for Saturday, August 18 at the Middlebourne, West Virginia facility. In other news, Raceway 7 has added a third Touring event for their season finale on Friday, September 7. The payoff has yet to be determined.

Track promoter Bryan Ferrel stated it was nothing against the FASTRAK Series just the fact that they had to complete this event. Ferrel did express interest in the possibility of bringing FASTRAK to Tyler County weekly in 2008.

Remaining Touring events include August 25 at McKean County Raceway ($1,500 to-win), August 31 at Dog Hollow Speedway ($1,200 to-win), September 7 at Raceway 7, and September 28 at McKean County Raceway ($3,000 to-win). Currently Alan Dellinger leads the Series points by 24 over Dick Barton and John Watson. The 2007 Series champion will earn $5,000 plus a 2008 Bullit chassis valued at $3,395 and a leg up in toward the $50,000 national championship.
